Thread and Surface
Words can only cut skin deep
and it’s hard to live with your heart sewn onto your sleeve.
Emotions live deep inside your soul and sometimes only permeating through your skins surface.
Needle and thread can only mend surface wounds…
Those beneath the surface need time to rise and vanish.
Patches are needed to cover the holes in a broken heart.
Stitches keep the rest of heart from breaking any further.
