Neverwhere is the latest book I’ve read. I finally finished it this morning after starting it sometime back in June… One of the only downfalls to working at a summer camp. I would first like to point out that Neil Gaiman is absolutely brilliant. I love to read and trying out authors I have never heard of and different genres of literature. I tend to fall in love with books that awaken imagination… and this book did that wonderfully and terribly. Every word Gaiman wrote helped me to illustrate this novel with every turn of the page, the details were rich and far from boring and lengthy. In the details Gaiman created London Below, the place where people who have fallen through the cracks live, invisible to the rest of the world. One good deed might have the ability to turn anyone’s life upside-down and with the right adventure change your life for the better. I now have some art to get to and maybe some writing pull from the back of my imagination.
