Don’t Be Afraid…

20 Apr

Don’t be afraid of loosing your way
There’s always a new path to follow
And new adventures to find.
Don’t fear the real world
You are young, so live your life
And do the things you love.
Don’t be afraid to try new things
And meet new people…
They have a story to tell,
So listen and learn and take note of all the stories you hear.
Don’t forget the memories you made
While in this place…
Jot down your story, take mental photographs…
Because those memories will make you smile
On the days you find yourself feeling lost.
Don’t be afraid to do the things that scare you…
Lastly remember to soar and dream and dance.

*Note: I wrote this poem for all the graduating seniors at VI, here’s an early Congratulations… and good luck!
